Porcelain Veneers | Desert Smiles | Paradise Valley AZ

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

“My name is Frank. I live in the Paradise Valley section of Phoenix Arizona. I escape in the summer to New York and Jersey Shore. Well I have to say I was the most reluctant person when it came to deciding to have something done. I had to get to a point where I was so disgusted with my smile, and really realized I neglected dental health. I sought out Dr. Wilcox. I was looking for a good dentist in the Phoenix area, and I read an article in Phoenix magazine, and he was listed as one of the top dentists for cosmetic dentistry in Phoenix. I gave them a call, and the rest is history. It was 100% better than i expected. I had cosmetic dentistry done and I had porcelain veneers put on extensively, top and bottom. It was a fantastic experience, I was a little concerned about the time it would take and the pain. And the staff made it a painless experience and I recommend the sedation. The staff was very courteous, very caring, and very sensitive to my needs and my fears. They made it a total wonderful experience, if you can say that going to the dentist is a wonderful experience, I can certainly say that of this team. I can say that first and foremost, the difference about having a fantastic smile is the the fact that your confidence grows by leaps and bounds. Of course professionally, confidence is something you need to have, and personally it has increased my confidence in my smile and my general appearance.”

“My name is Joel, a friend recommended Dr. Wilcox. The main reason was a porcelain overlay. My experience was very very good and very pleasant. I had quite a few visits and the timing, the appointment timing was great. Everything was just as promised, I didn’t have to spend a lot of time waiting. I think everything just seemed to work well for me. It was comfortable it was pleasant. I do feel a lot better, I feel more confident in my smile. My wife loves it, she is always bragging to everybody and sending pictures to everyone, so yeah it’s great. I think it would be good for people to go and see Dr. Wilcox, he is very good with people, patients, and he is really good.”

Using Your Dental Benefits

Friday, October 15th, 2010
If your employer has provided the benefit of a Flex Spending Account you are eligible to up to 40% of the cost of you and your family’s dental work by using pre-tax dollars.
By the end of the year, your Flex Spending Accounts may not be available for you to use due to new legislation.
Here are some ways for you to use your FSA before the end of the year:
  • Plan major expenses ahead of time.  You can prevent the hit of a major expense by spreading the cost throughout the year.
  • If you have Orthodontia Insurance, you can pair it with your FSA to save a substantial amount of money on your orthodontia. The only approved FSA expense that can be reimbursed during the course of treatment and payments are made, is orthodontia.
  • You must claim your services provided by the end of the period determined by your plan.
  • Look over coverage from your insurance and expenses that you have to pay thoroughly before you determine how much to put into your FSA.  This will help you prevent losing left-over money at the end of your plan’s year and make sure to receive your eligible savings.
  • Cosmetic procedures are not covered expense for your FSA.  Things like veneers (unless it is a health issue), whitening, won’t be re-imbursed.
Every time you arrive for a dental appointment, show your dental insurance ID card.  Make sure you understand your benefits before you being to pay for dental expenses.  Be diligent and use your FSA to pay only your portion of your cost.

Veneers | Desert Smiles | Phoenix AZ

“My name is Casey I live in Buckeye Arizona. I had veneers on the front six teeth. My experience was great, I came in and I had a consultation. I came back in about a week. I got some temporary veneers put on that actually look like the real thing, and tested those out and saw how I liked those temporary veneers. A few weeks later my new veneers came in. I had them put on and haven’t had any problem since. I can actually open my mouth now when I smile rather than keeping my mouth closed. I am always getting compliments on how nice my teeth actually look, no one realizes that they aren’t the “real thing” but it’s great it has helped my self esteem and helped me overall. Even taking family pictures I’m no longer embarassed by the gaps I used to have and the stains I had on my teeth. When someone does finally ask me from my past, that knew how my teeth used to look, I have told them about it.”
